Our Contributors for the DOGTokyo2017 Project
We have included a list below of the contributors currently engaged in the DogToyko2017 art installation project.
Contemporary Fine Artist - DogToyko2017
Akane Takayama is a contemporary artist who works with PebbleStudioLondon.
Webmaster & Social Media Manager - DogToyko2017
Barrie is a professional with over 40 years of experience in commerce. Unusually for a man of his seniority, he has a deep understanding and grasp of web marketing, social media and e-commerce. These skills have been honed in the insurance industry where Barrie held a status as an expert witness in fraud cases. Compliance and the necessities of rigour in terms and conditions are the foundations of his approach to all tasks and in those tasks his standards are exacting. Technically, he is someone who sees sloppiness as only an excuse for laziness.
Barrie runs his own organisation, Simplink Communications, which provides a range of web based services to international businesses. He is a consultant to PebbleStudioLondon and a key motivator in the delivery of the artistic vision of Akane Takayama.
Mr Ueda - Head Teacher
Mr Ueda is the Education Consultant for the DOGTokyo2017 project in Japan. He has been the prime mover in establishing the cultural exchange programme which sits behind the work.
１９５８年 １月２７日 熊本県生まれ
２００８年 八王子市立柏木小学校 副校長

He has worked with field leaders in Housing Policy, Pro Bono Legal Support, National Asylum Policy, Social Poverty, Miscarriage of Justice and Human Rights issues in general. He was also a Visiting Lecturer at the University of the Arts in London.
Jack has been an invited speaker for the first United Nations Conference on Public Service Broadcasting in Mexico in 2010, the keynote speaker for the Conference on Mythology at Jendouba University, Tunisia, in 2014 and has run workshops on the Grail Quest, Mythology and History, Poetry as Performance and The Business of Men.
Professional Photographer - DogToyko2017
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Masanori Takahashi as the third member of our intern team. Born in 1986, Masanori is an award winning professional photographer with such credits as The Emerging Photography Artist 2014 – second prize, and International Color Awards Photography Masters Cup 2014
To learn more about Masanori’s work, please visit his website at http://www.ihsahakatironasam.com and click on the image that appears on the first page. The basis of his work is the doubt about photographs, images and eyes. He takes advantage of photographs to think about this.
Translator - DogToyko2017
Natsuki Nishi takes up an internship with PebbleStudioLondon for work on the DOGTokyo2017 installation by Akane Takayama. Nishi-san has experience as an Anglo-Japanese translator and has also worked with social media marketing. The studio is pleased to offer her opportunities to work with this exciting international contemporary art installation. We are particularly happy with her proposed involvement with the cross-cultural educational exchange between English and Tokyo primary schools which is an innovative feature of Takayama’s work.
Born in Tokyo, Japan, she has always had a keen interest in movies, books and TV dramas from foreign countries. After studying English literature at Meiji University, she entered a translation school. Nishi-san worked for a translation company for six years before deciding to come to London to expand her career.
